Hampton Inn Merrillville

It was quiet at night. Sheets were clean but as the night progressed the bed shifted off of the foundation and my husband felt like he was hanging onto the mattress so he wouldn't fall on the floor. Nice variety of breakfast food.

Breakfast area needs to be bigger. The tub was a little strange...the sides are really slanted in and while taking a shower it seemed that I was going to fall because of the sides.

Perfect location; supper friendly staff. Within a 10-minute walk from a bus station. Beautiful building and rooms with comfortable beds and a clean bathroom.

Had great stay for my short visit, the staff were outstandingly accommodating, location was easy in the Gary area. Got spotless room with comfortable beds and a clean bathroom when arrived, loved that. Location: the hotel was close enough to a Chicago in under a hour and Hampton's and several restaurants, shopping plazas and mall. I could drink something at Sheffield's Restaurant, located 4 mi away.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, especially during breakfast service. We enjoyed a very clean room with comfortable beds and a good refrigerator that worked well.

The price wasn't exactly a bargain but acceptable for what we got.

It made our city explorations even more good. As a couple, we found our king room comfortable and well-suited for a weekend retreat, but the lack of teabags in the room was a small letdown since I enjoy my evening tea.

The room with two queen beds was comfy and clean. The staff, especially colleen and brandy, were super friendly and always had a smile. I enjoyed the access to the indoor pool and the fitness center. The location was perfect, with excellent dining options nearby.

The lobby was beautifully decorated with warm colors and comfortable seating. The staff were accommodating, always lending a hand whenever I needed assistance. The accessible facilities made it easy for me to navigate without any worry.

More seating options in the dining area would help.
